1) Identified leading cloud storage competitors which had a native app for boarding.
2) Captured screen shots of competitor's onbarding process, and arranged screens into flows using Sketch.
3) Added labels above sections of the flows to help compare onboarding steps between apps.
4) Printed flows using a plotter and posted on the wall. Added interaction lines to identify transitions from screen to screen.
5) Facilitated working sessions across the entire organization to identify the following using sticky notes:
• what IS working (green)
• what IS NOT working (red/orange)
• general input (yellow)
PHASE 2
Arranged participant feedback from phase 1 into an affinity diagram to identify patterns.
Observations from this exercise were incorporated into product requirements for the high priority mobile onboarding project

Determine the best approach to creating interest graphs for our readers to better serve them truly personalized content.
PHASE 1
Gain a macro level view of UI input mechanisms used interest declaration mechanisms. An entire 4'X8' sheet of foam core was completely filled with the findings.

Build interest continuums from UI Input Mechanisms to get a more granular understanding of interest declaration systems.
